FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear, straightforward answers about privacy, AI integration, and file safety.

Does my document get uploaded to Redactorr’s servers?

No. Redactorr runs entirely inside your web browser using local WebAssembly (WASM). Your original documents and unmasked sensitive data never touch an external server or database.

Can AI still understand my document if names and numbers are masked?

Yes. Redactorr uses context-preserving placeholders like [PATIENT_1], [DOCTOR_1], and [ACCOUNT_NUMBER] so AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) retain 100% of the grammatical and logical meaning.

How do I restore the original names after AI generates an answer?

Use The Vault. Simply paste the AI’s response back into Redactorr, and your client-held session key instantly swaps the placeholders back into the original names with one click.

What if Redactorr flags a word that shouldn’t be redacted?

You have complete human review control. Click any highlighted finding to whitelist it, or click any unhighlighted text to manually add a custom redaction.
